Shine bright with metallics
Finally the cold spell is coming to an end in Russia and the summer mood is spreading. It’s time to pack away winter jackets and to take our summery shoes out on a walk.
Today I’d like to talk about my favorite trend – metallics. Metallic finishes have already moved from catwalk to the streets last season, but this spring they aren’t loosing grounds either. Every street-style diva owns a couple of gold or silver accessories, but some take it even further and go all metallic from head to toe. Metallic sheen is able to spice up any outfit, but if you are not ready to go out in a silver trench just yet, shoes or a bag in pink gold or elegant silver might be a good place to start.
My experience with metallics began with HÖGL and Swarovski collaboration. These incredibly stylish shoes kill three birds with one very shiny stone – they are silver, they are sling backs and they have a low and steady heel, which allows you to run around your business all day long. This pair is a statement piece in itself, so I see no other way but to combine it with something laid-back and monochromatic.
For the look to look complete, I paired it with Zara skinny jeans with metallic gradient that allowed seamless transition from bold to sheer metallic hues. You should see how beautifully it sparkles and plays in the sun! I hope I’ve been convincing enough and you have already started browsing the internet in the search of that perfect metallic piece.
