Bad Aussee

Högl’s travel tip: Bad Aussee – Like heaven on earth

Untouched nature as far as the eye can see. Lakes with pristine waters. A tranquil landscape straight out of a children’s picture book. No, we aren’t describing paradise – or are we? We’re talking about Bad Aussee – in the heart of the Styrian Salzkammergut region.

Bad Aussee is known for its practiced traditions, a heritage that is still being maintained, even in today’s fast-moving world – to the joy and fascination of guests from near and far. The best-known events in the Aussee region are the annual Narzissenfest (Daffodil Festival) and the Ausseer Kirtag (Aussee Church Festival). Here, young and old turn out in their traditional Sunday best to enjoy the landscape and local specialities – or, put another way: paradise on earth.

Die Position der Schleife spiegelt übrigens den Beziehungsstatus wieder: Schleife links, Glück bringt’s (ledig). Schleife rechts bedeutet die Dame in Tracht ist vergeben.

Högl’s tip for fans of customs and traditions:

- Narzissenfest (Daffodil festival): 25 – 28 May 2017
- Altausseer Kirtag (Aussee Church Festival): 1 – 3 September 2017

Högl’s recommendation: For the Narzissenfest, you can express your feminine side. You’ll be perfectly dressed in one of our classics. But if you want to explore the area we recommend Högl’s peak performer sneakers – one of the pinnacles of our new collection.
