Bianca Schwarzjirg on air in Högl heels
Mornings in the TV studio
If it’s your job to wake up the whole of Austria, then of course, you’ve got to be up bright and early yourself. A sure-footed start to the day is essential.
My day starts in the middle of the night, when most Austrians are still asleep. At 2:50, my alarm clock rings, then there’s just time for a quick coffee before I slip into the outfit already waiting for me - I laid it out the night before. At 3:30, my work day begins at the studio. Before I go on air at 5:15, there’s always a joint editorial meeting to attend first. After that, it’s off to hair and make up; our stylists will also check my outfit for the day.
Bianca Schwarzjirg is proud to be an early riser. She greets Austria every morning in high spirits.
When we start Café Puls - Austria's first breakfast TV show - at 6:30, I've already been up for almost 3 hours. The feeling you get waking up the whole country, informing people about what’s to come that day, is just great. Besides presenting, the job also means being there for people as they get up, which I really enjoy. (Otherwise I wouldn’t have put up with this insane schedule for so long! ;-))
To make sure that I start my day in a good mood, I have to feel comfortable. That extends from my outfits, which emphasize my style and my personality, to the people I work with and the feel-good atmosphere we create in the studio. Last but not least, shoes are very important; they carry me through the day and through the show.

When I start the day, I’m usually in a pair of bootees. The journey into work requires a cool pair of flats that will go with anything, like the
black Högl AVIATOR bootee, which has recently become one of my favourite designs.
The feminine biker boots in Högl style are not only cool, but also comfortable.
Shortly before the show Bianca Schwarzjirg exchanges the rocky booties with fine rivets and decorative buckles for high heels.
Once I’m in the studio, I change the bootees into high heels and there is no model more comfortable than the classic
BOULEVARD 90 by Högl. I’ve been wearing them for years!
On air, bootees are swapped for high heels.
I don’t just wear nude heels in the studio, but also if I’m presenting at an event, making a public appearance or doing a photo shoot. In my view, they’re suitable for any occasion! Högl has been with me for over fifteen years of my TV career. I still get excited about seeing the new lookbook, the new styles and, of course, my beloved classics! In the meantime, I’ve amassed a whole pile of Högl shoes in my Café Puls wardrobe at Puls4. This means I'm well prepared for any situation on and off-air.
Lots of love,
Bianca Schwarzjirg
