A balancing act: jeweller and mum of two
Comfort and extravagance don’t have to be mutually exclusive
Silke Stadelmann sells exquisite jewellery at work, and in her free time she likes to have something just as exquisite to put on her feet – without compromising on comfort, of course.
For the last 17 years, my husband and I have been running a jewellery shop in Eferding in Upper Austria. It’s a family business, now in its fourth generation. I love my job, because it gives me the chance to make people happy.
But I’m even more passionate about being a mum to my two children. Sometimes it’s a struggle to keep up with them! So what I wear outside of work has to be comfortable above all else – but that’s not to say I don’t like a little bit of extravagance now and then.
Besides jewellery and handbags, shoes are the most important accessory for me. I tend to dress simply, but the right shoe can add a special touch to even the simplest of outfits!
These silver Högl sneakers are incredibly comfortable but very glamorous at the same time. There is loving attention to detail in the satin laces and sparkling Swarovski® crystals around the ankle.
"Besides jewellery and handbags, shoes are the most important accessory for me.“
When my children tell me my shoes are ‘cool’, I know I’ve made the perfect choice!
