A life full of masterpieces

The Head of PR at the Fabergé Museum tells us how she brings a feel-good factor to her daily life.

When I feel happy, it’s inevitably connected with beauty in all its manifestations – the beauty of words, the beauty of movements, the beauty of thoughts, the beauty of deeds. To quote Miguel Cervantes, beauty has the power to bring peace to the heart, and I believe that a beautiful environment creates and safeguards harmony in our inner minds.

Ekaterina Puchkova, the head of PR at the Fabergé Museums, is wearing shoes from Högl.
When she wanders through the magnificent halls full of Carl Fabergé’s awe-inspiring works of art, Ekaterina is in her element.

My workplace is a true treasure chest, full of unique works of art. I am Head of PR at the Fabergé Museum – home to the most fabulous collection of masterpieces by Carl Fabergé. Jewellery, exquisite gemstones, lapidary pieces, Russian enamels and salon paintings are all housed in the magnificent Shuvalov Palace in St. Petersburg. Every day passing through the majestic halls, I admire the beauty and perfection of Carl Fabergé’s creations. Taking a second to appreciate a prized object that has been illuminated with care in the royal palace is my obligatory everyday ritual.

Days fly by quickly, as I go to meetings and briefings, as well as welcoming visitors. I am sure that time would feel different if I wasn’t wearing my beloved, comfortable Högl shoes. Without them it would simply be impossible to enjoy my job’s active aspects, and I would tire of constantly being on my feet, always on the run and communicating with people.

Puchkova wears the ankle boots Soho from Högl made of leather with crocodile embossing.
In charge of communication for the museum, Ekaterina Puchkova is on her feet almost the whole day long.
Since Puchkova is on her feet all day long, her shoes not only have to look good but also have to be comfortable.
She attaches great importance to her style of clothing, not least because she represents the museum to the outside world.
This season, I love wearing prints inspired by the African savannah. The approaching autumn also reminds me how good gold and bronze tones look, even with the most reserved business outfits. These bronze Högl boots made of iridescent metallic leather have become my favourites. Crocodile embossing not only looks good with leopard print – another of this season’s trends – but it’s also a perfect match with a classic trouser suit or a long plain skirt. These boots are the reason I look forward to autumn – I can’t wait to stroll around St. Petersburg and admire my new boots in the golden evening sun.

Best wishes,
Ekaterina Puchkova
