Annette Frier takes to the stage as God – wearing Högl shoes!
German actress and presenter Annette Frier steps into her golden Högl heels to take on a heavenly leading role at the Theatre on the Kurfürstendamm.
The play, God the Almighty, is a hilarious kamikaze-style comedy. God has been influencing the outcome of every major event since the beginning of time, from the creation of the world all the way to the launch of the iPhone 7.
With the all-new Universe 2.0 due to be launched (after the previous model has been destroyed, of course), the Almighty – who has always stayed discreetly in the background up to now – takes centre stage.
In previous plays, God has always been portrayed as male. Whereas I – unless I’m very much mistaken – am a woman. As such, it’s great fun to play ‘God the Almighty’ in a world premiere, and it’s also very relevant to the public discourse we’re having at the moment.
What can I say? God has stepped into my shoes to give mankind hell – and I’ve stepped into my divine Högl shoes to make sure God cuts a fine figure!
All the best,
