Retro ankle boots by Högl
cool autumn styling
Verena from Whoismocca is naturally an autumn person and casual elegance is her trademark. She combines both in this all-white look.
Early September is when I get most excited about fashion. I’m quite simply an autumn girl at heart, and can never wait for the latest trends and colours to hit the high street. If we take a look at the fashion trends for autumn 2018, some old friends are making a reappearance. The focus this season is also on casual elegance, combined with comfort and stylish accessories. What does this look like, in terms of everyday outfits? I'll show you in today's blog post!
My styling tips for 1960s chic
For fashion in autumn, soft shades of beige and nude are great for mixing with natural colours. I’m thinking burgundy, chestnut brown, khaki, or rich orange: the ideal autumn tones! I base my day outfits around these colours, which give a relaxed retro-chic look when paired with the right accessories.
Fluid fabrics mixed with flared lines are combinations that are simply made for the autumn. Layering is also a big theme again, as you can see from my look. Under the tunic that still has echoes of summer, I’m wearing a simple roll-neck knit, which keeps me warm and makes my outfit "autumn-ready".
Ankle boots by Högl in a retro style
I can give my denim culottes or kick-flare jeans a casual 1960s feel with these boots in rust brown, with their slightly higher design. Shorter trousers not only make the legs look longer, but also draw attention to these chic shoes - which are exactly what I want to showcase anyway!
This retro ankle boot by Högl in rust brown is bang on-trend. The creased nappa patent leather and the eye-catching silver buckles emphasise the wow effect these boots have. They are also perfectly equipped to deal with autumn weather. The block heel makes the boot ideal for everyday wear and adds to their flamboyant retro charm.
There’s also a matching bag, which is available from Högl’s online shop. I really love wearing shoes with a matching bag. It not only adds a certain element of calm to a look, but also makes an outfit more harmonious as a whole. Especially for casual-chic styles for work, this is always an advantage, because you don’t need to do much to look styled to the max!

And by the way: as a companion to these casual retro boots, Högl also have some nappa patent leather closed-toe heels in autumnal rust brown: perfect for effortless office outfits this autumn!
Have fun styling and combining them!
All the best, Verena
