Flying high in the fashion capital
High-top sneakers fashion highlight
High-top sneakers make it easy to run through Paris from photo shoots to fashion shows.
German top model Luisa Hartema travelled to Paris recently for her modelling work. For a chic but sporty look, she packed her comfortable Högl sneakers with wing-shaped patches to give her the fashion wow factor.
Paris calling: when modelling jobs call me to the fashion capital, then just knowing what to pack is a challenge. Above all, my outfits and shoes need to be comfortable, so that I can dash quickly and easily from one job to the next. But as a model, I also need to dress to impress, so striking a good balance is the name of the game if I’m going to look “très chic”.
I always stick with my modern casual style and prefer simple black basics that I can combine with a cool leather jacket or a blazer, and then add sporty shoes for a stylish accent.
In Paris, I chose black suit trousers, a chic silk top, a cool leather jacket and the new Högl high-top sneakers, since white sports shoes are still bang on trend and this model has a particularly special charm.
What I love about these shoes, apart from their sporty shape, is the decorative detail with the wing-shaped patch and the striking gold pin, which adds a feminine twist and makes them great for combining.
When I go out with friends in the evenings after work and don’t want to wear high-heeled shoes, these classy sneakers are the ideal companion for dancing the night away in Parisian clubs after a few drinks in the bar.
Now I’ve got to go get ready and pack for my next trip!
